Rep. Angie Craig represents Minnesota's Second Congressional District. She is fighting for working families – and for a Minnesota where every member of every family gets a fair shot. She'll work with anybody – and take on the Washington establishment – to get things done for her constituents.
Angie learned the value of hard work from her mother, a single mom who raised three children while earning her teaching degree. And like her mom, she worked two jobs to put herself through college. In 2018, Angie became the first lesbian mother elected to Congress and the first woman to ever represent Minnesota’s Second District.
In Congress, Angie is fighting to make sure Career and Technical Education is an option for every young person; to lower the cost of health care so Americans can get the care they need; to invest in our local infrastructure; and for policies that reward regular people for their hard work. She wrote and passed the bill to cap insulin costs at $35 per month and helped pass legislation to invest in community policing and public safety – both with support from Democrats and Republicans.
As one of the most bipartisan Members of Congress, Angie has held more than 50 town hall meetings in the Second District and is committed to continuing her work across the aisle on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and House Agriculture Committee in support of her constituents.
