Legislative Breakfast - Leaders' Session Preview

Join us on February 5 to hear from Minnesota's top legislative leaders, House Speaker Kurt Daudt and Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk.  Both leaders will participate in a discussion of top legislative issues including their predictions for business property tax reform, allocation of Minnesota's surplus of nearly $2 billion, transportation funding, and other top business issues. 


House Speaker Kurt Daudt was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and represents portions of Anoka, Isanti, and Sherburne Counties.  He served as minority leader and is a graduate of the University of North Dakota.   


Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk is a Democrat that represents portions of Cook, Lake, Koochiching, and St. Louis Counties.  He is a retired labor official and graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Your Chamber offers real-time information and resources on a number of issues important to your business through Legislative Breakfast Series.  The breakfasts are designed for business community members to hear first-hand from lawmakers and industry experts on how legislation within all levels of government affect their businesses’ bottom line, job creation, growth and expansion.  Members can also communicate their concerns, comments and questions. 
 
The Series offers members a total of eight programs held on the first Friday of each month, November 2015 through June 2016 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at The Commons on Marice in Eagan.  Fees are $25 per event or purchase a Series pass for $160 and save.  Registration and networking begins at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast buffet and the program begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
