Member Listed Event: Copper Street Brass Band

Caponi Art Park’s third installment of the 2018 Summer Performance Series is Copper Street Brass.

The Copper Street Brass is the premier brass chamber ensemble in Minnesota and one of only a handful of self-sustaining brass groups in the country. They were founded in 2008 as a professionally trained classical chamber music ensemble (which means we perform without a conductor) with two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. They present exclusively their own music, which is an original blend of musical styles from Mozart to Madonna, in over 35 concerts and 80 outreach services each season. They have been heard by thousands of people outside of the Twin Cities area on local concert series performances, summer music festivals, performances with school bands, and collaborations with other local arts groups.

In addition to our main parking lot at 1220 Diffley Road, performance parking is available at the Lexington-Diffley Athletic fields (unless noted). Banners and signs will be posted. Walking distance to amphitheater is a hilly 5-minute hike from either entrance. Golf carts are available to transport guests with mobility needs.

In case of rain, the event will be held on August 26th.
