Social Media & Internet Safety-Do you really know what your kids are doing on the internet?

It only takes one wrong click on social media or the Internet to become a victim.  At the end of the presentation, you will be more aware of the risks social media and the Internet pose so you can help children safely navigate today’s technology.  In addition, there will be a discussion of some FBI cases in which Minnesota children have become victims based on their activity on social media and the Internet. Take away information will include:

• How to avoid embedding location information in photos when taken with a cell phone

• How to thwart people who hack into computers, laptops, etc., and turn on the camera without your knowledge
• A variety of handouts will be provided
