Salary/Wage Range: $24.00+ per hour (DOQ)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing team in Newport, MN. This facility specializes in crafting high-quality stainless steel and other metal components for commercial kitchen applications. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can work independently and interpret blueprints with precision.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Interview and Welding Test Required Prior to Start

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate commercial food industry products, including cabinets, counters, and breath guards.

• Work with stainless steel sheet metal and other materials.

• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and work orders to determine project requirements.

• Perform TIG, MIG, Wire Feed, and Spot welding.

• Independently produce complex sheet metal assemblies.

• Understand flat metal layout, including growth and bend allowance.

• Apply press brake forming techniques and brake sequences (preferred).

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently without a step-by-step guide.

• Experience in stainless steel sheet metal fabrication.

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.

• Ability to work in a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
